Skills Requirements

The Kaminho project requires a diverse range of skills across its phases: Construction phase (2024-2027): welders, fabricators, pipefitters, electrical technicians, coating specialists, crane operators, marine riggers, quality inspectors, HSE professionals, and construction managers. Installation phase (2026-2027): offshore installation teams, divers/ROV operators, marine crew, pipe-lay technicians, and subsea engineers. Operations phase (2028+): production operators, process engineers, maintenance technicians, marine crew, logistics coordinators, and facility management. Saipem's 12-year (+8-year option) O&M contract provides long-term employment stability.

Training & Development

The TotalEnergies-Sonangol R&D Memorandum of Understanding extends workforce development beyond standard training. Support for the Sumbe R&D center focuses on developing Angolan expertise in reservoir geology, process electrification, and photovoltaics — strategic capabilities for the energy transition. These programs complement the ANPG's broader Angolanization requirements for operator training commitments.
